Required Qualifications and Experience: Master degree in Computer Science/MCA/B. IGNOU and MAAC presents BA in 3D Animation and VFX

The School of Journalism and New Media Studies at IGNOU, the world’s largest Distance Learning University, collaborated with MAAC (Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics), India’s Premier Animation Institute, to bring you the cutting-edge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in 3D Animation and Visual Effects Programme. It will not only impart you real animation skills, but also set you in a leage apart from the competition.
The varsity has decided to offer animation programme to meet the growing demands of animation professionals. In addition to Bachelor of Arts in 3D Animation and Visual Effects, the varsity is also going to offer an 18 month Diploma in Computer Generated Imagery and a six month Certificate course in Film Making.
“IGNOU will be responsible for the Theoretical Content and Training will also be monitored by the varsity. While the faculty and the animation software will be provided by MAAC,” said Yogesh Panjanani, vice president, MAAC.
The classes will be conducted at 63 MAAC centres across the country.
Syllabus for BA animation will be designed by experts from both IGNOU and MAAC. It will instruct students in animation skills and also convey soft skills, business and production management training, and an orientation to student on an actual project of creation of content.
Admission will be basis of performance in the entrance test and an interview. Students will have to appear for an aptitude test to prove their computer knowledge and ability for the course.
“In the degree course, subjects like organisational behaviour and English are made mandatory. Hence, by the end of it students will be industry-ready along with the animation skills,” added Panjanani.
Animation Education finally gets the recognition IT deserves.

?Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Inter University Consortium, IGNOU for six months from the date of appointment with a consolidated salary of Rs. 22,500/- pm.
?Details of educational qualification are as follows:
?A high second class Masters Degree (with atleast 55% marks or an equivalent grade) with NET in Computer Science/ Communication Technology/Education/Distance Education / Social Science or any Technology Discipline.
However, candidates having a Ph. D. degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET.
